Anyone who might doubt if a petite lady from Osaka, Japan has what it takes to coax some deep blues out of a Hammond B-3 organ needs to come out to the 34th annual Edmonds Community College/Friends of Frank DeMiero Jazz Festival and listen to Atsuko Hashimoto. Appearing with the Jeff Hamilton Trio, the diminutive Ms. Hashimoto joins a strong lineup for the 3-day event which includes native Seattle singer Sara Gazarek, trumpet ace Byron Stripling, exciting young vocalists Marc Broussard and Kathleen Grace, Seattle’s own Greta Matassa, and many others.~
